Mentoring African Research in Mathematics (MARM) is a cooperative programme between African Mathematics Millennium Science Initiative (AMMSI), the International Mathematical Union (IMU) and the London Mathematical Society (LMS). It is designed to support mathematics research and advanced teaching in the countries of sub-Saharan Africa by establishing longer-term mentoring relations between mathematicians working in established research centres, their colleagues in sub-Saharan Africa, and postgraduate students of those colleagues. The scheme has now been in operation for several years and details of the existing projects can be found at www.lms.ac.uk/grants/mentoring-african-research-mathematics .
